GENITOURINARY SYSTEM

The genitourinary, also known as the urogenital system, combines the reproductive and urinary systems.

Urinary System:The kidneys filter blood to produce urine, which travels via the ureters to the bladder. It is stored there until excretion through the urethra. The kidneys also play a role in regulating blood pressure, red blood cell production, and calcium metabolism.
Reproductive System:The reproductive system differs by gender; for males, it includes the testes, prostate, and penis, while for females, it includes the ovaries, uterus, and vagina. The system is responsible for producing and transporting sperm in males and eggs in females, facilitating fertilization, and supporting the development of offspring.
